What Is Trove?

Trove is a tabletop roleplaying game system designed to facilitate the telling of imaginative, adventurous stories. It is built to give worldbuilding and narrative agency to the players as well as the narrator (gamemaster).

• PCs are heroic
• Story and narrative come first, the rules are there to enhance excitement
• High-drama & cinematic action evoke the highs-and-lows of traditional storytelling
• Provides a great deal of agency for the players within the structure of the story, but not without consequences
• Meant to be modified by adding mechanics and incorporating a wide variety of inspirations

Currently, we are in the editing stage of our 1st edition core rules book which will be available here this year. In the mean time, the System Reference Document is available for download at no cost.
