The Game, The Campaign, & Going Forward

It’s been a minute since you’ve heard from us. A long minute. For anyone who has endeavored to design such a thing as a TTRPG while juggling a full time job, family, etc. knows how life can get in the way, for lack of a better phrase.

This dev log is meant to let you know that we are still making progress on the game. We have several playtests in motion and feel confident our core rules are close to being officially titled “First Edition”.

The feedback we’ve received as a result of these playtests has led us to make some pretty big changes to the ruleset, all for the better, we feel. This means, as it was expected, that the current Foundation book has become somewhat obsolete.

As stated from the beginning, this was a work in progress and this funding campaign was meant to help us make Trove as good as it could be. We feel the campaign has gone as far as it can and, though the final funding goal was not reached, we mean to deliver the completed First Edition just the same.

We will be keeping this page accessible to everyone who has backed the project, but will otherwise shut it down to new activity. If you backed the project, once Trove First Edition is complete, you will have free access to it.

In the meantime, we have compiled a System Reference Document (SRD) of the updated Trove rules and will be uploading it soon to Itch for you to download at no cost.

Thank you so much for being patient with us and we hope you will keep an eye out for future announcements.
